The development goal of the project is to mainstream adaptation to climate change into the sustainable local development in Albania.

The project specific objective is to build adaptive capacities in the Dini - Mati River Delta areas in order to protect vulnerable ecosystems and local livelihoods. This will be one by developing and piloting adaptation measures to protect the key ecosystems in the area that hot globally endangered species as part of the area development policy and planning. The project is fully in line with GEF Approach to Adaptation to Climate Change that will support implementing adaptation activities and capacity building.
