UNDP/GEF
Climate Change Programme/Unit in collaboration with
the Information Center of the Ministry of Environment,
Forests and Water Administration, has organized two
days awareness raising event on “Climate Change issue
& linkages to the poverty reduction” with pupils
of “Drita e Diturise” (non public high school ) and
“Ismail Qemali” (public high school) of Tirana on 17
& 18 October 2006. PowerPoint presentations form
a representative of the Information Center, Mrs. Edlira
Dersha and from the Program Information/Assistant of
our office, Odeta Zheku were held followed by a UNEP
Film on “what is greenhouse effect” translated into
Albania language. Copies of the booklet “Climate Change
What it is” and an information packet prepare by the
Ministry of Environment, Forests and Water Administration
was distributed during the activity.
Political
staff of the ministry, Mr. Saimir Hoxha minister consultant,
was invited and a hot discussion session was organized.
